I had a great meeting with some of the adult leadership team for the Workcamp last night. We’re looking for ways to help the congregation connect with our workcampers. One thing we’re going to try is a series of videos, some seen in church, some available online here or at FirstTrinity.com. We’ll be asking the youth questions and they’ll give their answers on video. I’m looking for a catchy tag-line to use when ending the interviews. My first thought something like the end of the old Mac switch ads:
If you have suggestions, I’d love to hear them! It needs to include their name and something about workcamp or serving others.
This sounds a bit silly and perhaps stogy but how about a take off on and old, old news anchor “sign-off” from Walter Crokite; Ted Kopple (night line); John Cameron Swazey (sp?). Probably could look them up on the internet, insert the kids names and use the basic news sign off of the old anchor.
It would probably resonate with all: the old folks who would really remember and the catch phrase with the new viewers.
A thought.

Congrats, you get to give away a digital download version of Small Groups from Start to Finish from Simply Youth Ministry. Come up with some way to give it away as you blog the Group/SYM Conference. Can’t wait to read your posts!
