As you know, I’ve been evaluating the ESV lately. I originally wrote that it feels familiar and different all at the same time. I don’t remember the first Bible I received, but the oldest Bible I own is my NIV Study Bible that I got when I was confirmed in 1991. One of the interesting side benefits to this project is that the Scriptures seem new to me again. God’s Word is an amazing thing.
I’m looking forward to seeing our 3rd Graders and their parents participating in the Bible Blessing Event at church on June 8. They’ve been working through them together as a part of the Everyday Faith My Bible class. Reports are that the Scriptures are alive there as well!
