When I heard the contestants would be singing Neil Diamond songs last night, I was hopeful for a really great evening. In the end, it felt like a cheap imitation of all of them. I didn’t love any of the performances, though Syesha probably gets my vote for best of the evening. I think David Archuleta could be slipping some in the polls and may be surprised to find himself in the bottom three or even two tonight. Jason has my vote to go home this evening.
The real story from the evening was Paula Abdul. There’s something seriously wrong with her. What an incredibly awkward moment on live television last night when she started critiquing Jason Castro’s 2nd song. You know, the one he hadn’t sung yet? They need a new judge to replace her.
