Type Pad has a built in photo album software, but it seems like more steps than I want to deal with for posting pictures.  It’s much easier to just upload files to a PicasaWeb album and link it here.  For example:

Bonfire 2007

It’s probably a good idea to actually include some text after linking the photo first because it’s a pain to edit the HTML and then add text with the standard editor after the fact.  The best approach would seem to be adding all of the text content, and then going back and inserting the HTML code for the Picasa Web Album.

TypePad also has a way to insert photos inline with a post.  After clicking a link in the "Compose Post" window, you can choose a picture to insert.  It doesn’t look like it chooses from an album, so  don’t bother uploading an album first.  Here’s the what image looks like when uploaded inline:

The photo can be configured to go to the left or right side of the text and you can click the photo and resize the thumbnail right in the "Compose Post" window.  This might be nice for a single photo, but I think I’d rather just point people to the Picasa Web Album and link to a specific picture there.
